% evangelical christian, mitt romney has not come out on top. it would seem to be a good thing for rick santorum. but it's also important to keep in mind that this will not determine all of the states' delegates. only 20 of the 46 in play are going to get chosen based on today's results. it's a little more important in terms of the narrative and the momentum in the race and less so when it comes to the actual delegate strategy. >> the delegate strategy, the rest come in june at the state convention? >> right. there are caucuses next month. and then it's a sort of multistep process where throughout the summer they're going to be choosing them. he may have a big win in terms of the numbers. that's something to look at in determining whether he keeps going. but it's not going to give him a major win over romney. >> it begs the question, if santorum with a commanding lead over his rivals, what would a win in louisiana do to fit into the overall picture? >> one thing it does is it knocks down newt gingrich who's relying on this southern strategy, spent some time in new orleans at tulane
